Learn all about bears in this interactive program. After listening to a bear story, examine up close a variety of natural history objects related to bears. Explore a year in the life of a black bear by playing a game called “It’s a Bear’s Life," then create a bear craft to take home.
This program is presented by Kathy Kennedy, Education Coordinator with Mass Audubon. Kathy has more than 20 years of experience leading nature-based programs at museums, zoos, and Mass Audubon sanctuaries. Based at Mass Audubon’s Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary, Kathy enjoys teaching families, schools, and community groups about science and our natural world. Her love of all things science and nature stems from childhood family experiences in the outdoors.
