Community Room

The Community Room at the Wheeler Memorial Library may be used by members of the public without charge. To reserve the space please inquire in the Children's Room or call 978-544-2495 x104.
Please note the following rules and restrictions:

1. The community room is available for use by groups and individuals provided that the meeting, activity, or program is not-for-profit in nature.

2. If the room is reserved by phone an application for use may be filled out by a library staff member. However the application must be signed by the individual or contact person for the group reserving the community room before the meeting takes place.

3. If it is necessary to cancel a meeting, please notify us as soon as possible.

4. Use of the room is restricted to normal library hours unless special arrangements have been made with the Library Director. All meetings should end fifteen minutes prior to the library’s closing with clean up complete and the room vacated by closing.

5. Meetings of two or more people may not be longer than three hours. An individual may not reserve the Community Room for more than 30 minutes.

6. Permission to use the Community Room may be withdrawn for violation of library and/or Community Room regulations.

7. It is required to check in at the children’s circulation desk 15 to 30 minutes prior to your meeting (depending on the extent of set-up needed.) Set–up is the responsibility of the group that has booked the room. A 4’ x 6’ table and 26 stacking chairs are available for use.

8. No admission fees may be charged.

9. Smoking or alcohol consumption is not allowed in the Library or on its grounds.

10. Only light refreshments may be served. The group must supply its own utensils, plates, etc.

11. You must complete and return the attendance form to the Children’s Room’s circulation desk at the end of your meeting.

12. The group is responsible for any damage to the library building, furniture, or equipment.
